About the Event

The 2nd Nordic Data Centre Design, Engineering & Construction Summit brings owners, developers, engineers, architects, contractors, utilities and commissioning specialists to Helsinki for two days on how the next generation of Nordic facilities is being built.

AI-scale requirements are forcing projects to be redesigned from the ground up — new electrical architectures, higher rack densities, liquid cooling, modular construction and far more demanding commissioning. Two days of real projects, real numbers, and the people delivering them.

Topics to be Discussed
Four themes, twelve topics — what the two days cover, in short.
Designing & Engineering Next-Generation Data Centres
AI workloads & high-density infrastructure
Electrical architectures and floor loading for 100–300kW+ racks, balancing redundancy and resilience without over-engineering cost into the design.
Power & cooling strategies
Direct-to-chip in new builds and retrofits, immersion trade-offs, and readiness for 800VDC.
Commissioning under IST
Integrated systems testing, staged energisation, PUE/WUE/ERF disclosure and ISO 50001 before the 2027 threshold.
Procurement, Electrical Infrastructure & Modular Delivery
Long-lead procurement
Framework agreements and OEM capacity reservation ahead of need, with substation lead time treated as the primary schedule-risk variable.
Delivering large-scale campuses
Standardising repeatable design blocks across 100–500MW multi-phase developments, and allocating contractor risk realistically across developer, PMC and EPC roles.
Digital & modular delivery
Prefabricated electrical and cooling skids, factory acceptance testing before delivery, and BIM and digital-twin coordination to reduce MEP clashes.
Construction Execution, Workforce & Facility Resilience
Specialist workforce challenges
Labour demand across overlapping Nordic programmes, crew sequencing between Finland, Norway and Sweden, and local training pipelines.
Physical security & OT resilience
Perimeter, access control and command centres, protecting building-management systems from OT risk, and security built into commissioning.
Heat recovery as a design requirement
District heating integration planned from day one, operational Nordic partnerships, and mandatory heat reuse expectations.
Grid Economics, Regulatory Risk & the New Capital Landscape
Connecting to the grid
Transmission and DSO requirements across the Nordics, fault-ride-through and active power control, and connection-capacity competition.
Turning compliance into revenue
Monetising demand flexibility, project economics under shifting prices and energy taxation, and offsetting cost through lower-PUE design.
Beyond the hyperscalers
EU-backed digital infrastructure, sovereign-cloud providers building independent capacity, and campus design for new customer profiles.

Networking By Future Bridge
Meet the people building it

The agenda is built around face-to-face time. Coffee breaks, ice-breaking sessions and a drinks reception give delegates room for focused conversations rather than crowded corridors.

Small enough that you meet the room, senior enough that the conversations go somewhere.

What's included
Mobile app for delegate connections
See who's attending and request meetings before you arrive.
Up to six hours of networking breaks
Structured breaks between sessions, not five minutes at the coffee urn.
Drinks reception
Day one closes with an informal evening reception for all delegates.
Facilitated peer-to-peer introductions
Tell us who you want to meet and we make the introduction on site.
Post-event follow-up
Slides, photos and delegate contacts circulated after the summit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about attending, sponsoring or speaking at the 2nd Nordics Data Centre Design, Engineering & Construction Summit in Helsinki.

It is a two-day executive forum held in Helsinki, Finland on 27–28 January 2027, bringing together data centre owners, developers, engineers, architects, contractors, utilities, commissioning specialists and technology providers to address how the next generation of data centres is being designed, engineered and delivered across the Nordic region.

Finland is one of the most active Nordic markets for data centre development, and the programme focuses on the real-world challenges of building AI-ready, mission-critical facilities: new electrical architectures, higher-density infrastructure, advanced cooling, modular construction and far more demanding testing and commissioning requirements.

The format is built around practical experience — real project case studies, proven delivery strategies and open discussion between the people responsible for the work.

You can complete your registration online by clicking Register Now and selecting the delegate package that best meets your requirements.

Alternatively, download the registration form, complete it and send the scanned copy to registration@future-bridge.eu. If you would prefer us to contact you first, submit an inquiry and a member of the team will discuss your participation, group bookings, sponsorship or exhibition options with you.

C-level officers, vice presidents, directors, heads and managers responsible for data centre design, construction, engineering, operations, planning, facilities, technology, grid, MEP, energy and power, cooling, procurement, supply chain and commissioning.

They come from end-user companies (owners, operators, developers, colocation providers and hyperscalers), construction companies and vendor companies across design, power, cooling, commissioning, modular construction, connectivity, heat reuse and security.

The programme runs across four themes: Designing & Engineering Next-Generation Data Centres (100–300kW+ racks, direct-to-chip versus immersion cooling, 800VDC architectures, commissioning under Integrated Systems Testing), and Procurement, Electrical Infrastructure & Modular Delivery (long-lead transformers, switchgear, UPS and BESS, 100–500MW campus phasing, prefabricated skids and digital-twin coordination).

Then Construction Execution, Workforce & Facility Resilience (specialist labour across Nordic programmes, OT security, heat recovery and district heating) and Grid Economics, Regulatory Risk & the New Capital Landscape (connection queues, demand flexibility, energy taxation and the new sovereign-cloud buyers).

The agenda includes dedicated networking and coffee breaks, ice-breaking sessions, an evening drinks reception, facilitated peer-to-peer networking and post-event communication.

In total the summit provides up to six hours of dedicated networking, structured so that conversations happen in a relaxed and informal setting rather than being squeezed between sessions.

The summit takes place in Helsinki, Finland on 27–28 January 2027. As soon as the venue is confirmed, the organiser will publish the details on the website and registered delegates will be informed by email.

Hotel accommodation and travel costs are not included in the registration fee. However, we offer registered delegates special rates at the hotel hosting the conference — the booking details are sent by email once the venue is confirmed.

Yes. Registered attendees receive a conference documentation package containing available presentation slides and supporting materials, subject to speaker approval. These materials are typically distributed within two weeks after the summit.

Exhibiting Partner — exhibition stand space for one or two standard roll-up banners in the networking area, two delegate passes, your logo and company text across the conference agenda and all printed and digital materials, and the conference documentation package. 5 900 EUR when booked before 3 September 2026 (standard 9 900 EUR).

Presenting Partner — a speaker slot on the programme, one speaker attendee pass, logo and company text in all conference materials, and the documentation package. 6 900 EUR when booked before 3 September 2026 (standard 9 900 EUR).

To discuss packages, contact Andrea Olsson, Marketing Manager — tel. +1 (404) 678 8489, andrea@future-bridge.eu.

For cancellations received in writing no less than seven days before the event, or if the organiser cancels, the attending party receives a 100% credit note valid at any other Future Bridge event within 12 months of issue.

Full terms are set out on the registration form. For questions, write to registration@future-bridge.eu.
